What is in it for my Students?
will challenge your students with a national safety test on the basics of workplace health and safety. The test groups questions into six sections. Students must get 100% in each section before they can move on to the next section. When they get even one question wrong in a section, a safety lesson related to the topic appears for them to read and study before they are presented with new questions related to that section.
will give them a certificate. When they successfully complete the test, they are awarded with a Passport to Safety Certificate and a personalized transcript they can attach to their resumes to present to potential employers. They can expand their Passport to Safety transcripts on-line by adding additional safety-related courses and achievements.
is about continual upgrading and learning. Their memberships are lifetime memberships. Students should go back periodically to update their transcripts and check out new safety resources and features that are continually added to the youth area of the Passport to Safety website.
may help them get a job. Employers will recognize the Passport as an indication that a job applicant will be more prepared to learn about safe workplace procedures and receive the workplace-specific training employers are required to provide.
will make them safer and healthier workers. Ensuring that your students know their rights and responsibilities in the workplace will prevent needless injuries and deaths among young Ontario workers.
